New Philosophy at Suzanne Fine Regional Cuisine

The landmark Townsend home, built in 1903,  was carefully transformed into a restaurant by Robert and Suzanne Stack and opened over a decade ago as Suzanne Fine Regional Cuisine. Two downstairs lake-facing rooms were converted into one cozy dining room offering magnificent views of Seneca Lake. An adjoining,  private library room with its table for ten and a wall of 300 cookbooks and Provençal pottery collection offered a private setting for small groups or parties, and a lovely lake view.  It is in this intimate and elegant setting that Suzanne  created her inimitable cuisine and she and Bob and their loyal and attentive staff have built the reputation that has earned them many awards over the years.

Suzanne and Bob are very excited about their new 2015 menu and a few small changes they have made in what they offer.  The menu is a set Five Course Harvest Menu with each course optionally paired with a Finger Lakes wine. This is similar to what they  have done in the past few years.  The change is that this year the five course menu is the entire menu.  The menu will change every two weeks to take advantage of what is supremely fresh from their garden and local farms.  They say it will best represent the bounty of the Finger Lakes and allow them to offer customers creative, local cuisine in their post and beam dining room.  The beautiful post and beam room and adjoining room with a magnificent farm table added a few years ago, will be the areas used for dining this year. The pricing for the five courses is $65 per person and the wine pairings are $35.  The menu will change every two weeks and will be posted on www.suzannefrc.com a few weeks in advance.  Below is a sample menu:

Parmesan Soup with Shallots, Bacon and Brioche Croutons

Peekytoe Crab Tower with Asparagus, New Potatoes and Citrus Vinaigrette

Duck Confit Risotto with Spring Peas and Crimini Mushrooms

Pork Tenderloin with Braised Vegetables and a Crispy Potato Pancake

Lemon Tart

Make your reservations early as we are sure they will continue to be a don’t miss experience for those with discriminating taste. If you are staying at Sunrise Landing, we are happy to make reservations for you.
