Our mission is for our guests to enjoy their stay at Sunrise Landing Bed & Breakfast as much as possible. Our B&B accommodations and vacation apartment rentals offer unmistakable comfort and beautiful views while our breakfasts are delicious and nourishing. To help ensure a wonderful Finger Lakes vacation experience for all, we have established some basic policies for our lakeside inn at Seneca Lake, NY.
The following policies are applicable for our Bed and Breakfast Option (For Vacation Rental Option, see Vacation Rental Policies (please review this pdf and send me the updated version if you wish to make modifications):
A two-night minimum stay is required.
A credit card number is required when booking a reservation.
Cancellation must be within two weeks (3 weeks for racing event weekends and for the Finger Lakes Wine Festival weekend). Cancellations which are given with less time than the policy states, are subject to a one-night charge – unless we are able to rebook the entire period reserved. When several couples or groups reserve several suites, an individual phone contact to provide a name and a credit card number is preferred. “No Shows” without any cancellation notice are subject to a charge for the entire period of the reservation, unless it is re-booked.
Personal checks, travelers’ checks, American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are accepted.
All rates are plus the stated state and local taxes and are subject to change (if prices should change after you make your reservation – you are assured of the rate at the time you reserved).
Check-in between 3 PM and 6 PM, and check-out by 11 AM (or request other arrangements).
Sunrise Landing Bed & Breakfast is smoke free. Smoking outside is permitted in areas that do not disturb others. If you intend to smoke outside, please consult with us so that we can assist with this issue.
We can accommodate children 12 years of age and over. Due to the steep terrain and a ravine that runs through the property, it is not child-safe for very young children.
Sorry, as much as we love “furry friends” we cannot accommodate pets.
Sunrise Landing Bed & Breakfast is located on a private, unpaved road – which is steep in parts. The road is maintained and plowed, but navigating it in winter weather often requires an all-wheel-drive vehicle with aggressive snow tires.
Sunflower & Iris Apartment Suites – B&B Kitchen Policy
- Just as in our other suites, optional housekeeping service includes the removal and replacement of glasses and, in the Sunflower, a few other items such as pre-rinsed dishes & flatware. In the Iris Suite, we will load a few pre-rinsed dishes into the dishwasher.
- If guests wish to leave an abundance of dishes & pots from the night before, for housekeeping to take care of in the morning, this expanded service can be provided for an additional charge – advance notice is requested. Please pre-rinse/scrub all dishes/pots & place well rinsed items, in sink and on counter.
- If you use the outside grill, we ask you to please take care of your own grilling tools/baskets & other items brought from home.
- Please be considerate of other guests in the house when considering what to cook, as some odors linger and carry throughout the house (such as shell fish, and other strong fish).
- If you have any questions or special requests, your host will be happy to discuss them with you.
Refund
We do not take a deposit on your stay. We take your credit card information to secure your reservation. Your card is not charged until the completion of your stay, unless you prefer to pay ahead. Should adjustments need to be made, please address them prior to leaving Sunrise Landing Bed & Breakfast.
