The 2026 season is off to a wonderful start! We’ve been open for almost 3 weeks now, and it’s been so great to see some returning friends, and to meet some new ones. But the most remarkable visitor has been the pileated woodpecker who nested in a nearby telephone pole, and proceeded to have babies! The avian family has already “checked-out” but luckily, Paul Fromm snapped some video and images before their departure.
